How it works
From PDF to published, in one sitting.
Preenway InkEdition is built around the rhythm of a real newsroom: an edition arrives, the pipeline prepares it, an editor zones the stories, and everything publishes together.
The pipeline
What happens when you upload.
Drop in an edition PDF and the platform does the heavy lifting before anyone touches a page.
Upload the PDF
Add a new issue with its title, date, and the edition PDF. That's all the pipeline needs.
Pages become images
Every page renders as web images in full, medium, and thumbnail sizes — sharp at any zoom level.
Text is captured
Text layers are extracted from each page, powering full-text search and one-click article creation from zones.
Ready to publish
The edition is ready for zoning and review — publish it now, or let its schedule publish it for you.
The weekly workflow
Seven steps from press to public.
This is the routine InkEdition was designed around — most publishers run it once per edition.
-
01
Add the new issue
Create the edition with its title and date, and upload the PDF straight from your print workflow.
-
02
Let it process, then review
The pipeline renders pages and extracts text. When the edition reads "ready," flip through the pages to confirm everything looks right.
-
03
Zone the main stories
Draw rectangles over the stories that matter. Each zone becomes a clickable hotspot and a pre-filled article draft.
-
04
Polish the articles
Tighten the headline, write the excerpt, add tags and images, and credit the author.
-
05
Publish edition and articles
One publish makes the e-paper live and puts the articles on your news site — topics, archives, and search update themselves.
-
06
Feature the lead story
Optionally mark an article as Editorial to give it pride of place on the homepage.
-
07
Share links and clips
Send article links and page clips to WhatsApp, X, and Facebook — every one unfurls with a proper preview.
Watch the whole workflow, live.
A demo takes about thirty minutes — we'll upload an edition, zone a story, and publish it while you watch.
